Required:
Answer the following questions for your group assignment:
1) Assume you were asked to join Hikma’s board as independent director in 2006. Which were your primary (agency) concerns?
2) Were there governance mechanisms in place in 2006 that alleviated some of your concerns? Which improvements would you like to see?
3) How did the role of Hikma’s independent directors change from 2006 to 2016?
4) Does the fact that Hikma is a family business make its independent directors likely to have more or less influence? What are the benefits of having powerful/influential independent directors?

Submission:
The team leader is required to submit the softcopy of your teamwork (in pdf) to Moodle Dropbox. Please note that there should be only one submission per team and that the submission must be put through Turnitin. Please accept the student statement within the “Confirm submission” page to complete your submission. All team members are required to accept the assessment declaration. The following naming convention should be used:
Naming File: Your assignment submission file should be named Team#_Wk*.pdf where # is your group number, and * is the week number.
Please ensure that the first page of your Report includes the details of all team members.
